MARINA BARNES COACHING

Parent & Teen Coach

Fostering deeper connections between parents and their children through compassion.

I am Marina Barnes (she/her). I experienced parenting as the hardest and the most worthwhile journey I have travelled. Hardest as there is so much responsibility in raising a compassionate and responsible human being; most worthwhile as the parent-child relationship can be deeply meaningful. Nonviolent communication, mindfulness, and compassion were my teachers. They taught me how to shift from being judgmental and inflexible to being empathetic, compassionate, curious, and open. This is a never ending process.

"Marina is an exceptional listener who also pays attention to underlying emotions conveyed through my body language and tone. She skillfully guides me to connect with my body and how it reflects my feelings. She creates a comfortable and non-judgmental space for me to express myself freely, at my own pace."
